Boulevard Machine & Gear is a small, growing machine shop centrally located near 1-91 and I-90 in Springfield. We are AS9100 & ISO 9001:2000 certified and we are searching for experienced CNC Machinists & Programmers for Lathe CNC machines.

Summary:
- Set-up and operate CNC equipment with minimal supervision in accordance to set-up sheet, blueprints and operations sheets per customer requirements.
- Program utilizing MasterCam latest version.
- Set-up and operate on manual machines when required.
- Troubleshoot set-ups and programs when necessary, document changes per procedure.
- Make offsets adjustments to maintain dimensional integrity.
- Documentation of set-ups on to set-up sheets.
- Verify the revision level for the current operation (Programs, operation sheets, blue prints).
- Verify PC. Count and all applicable documentation for completion of previous operations.
- To complete all applicable documentation for the current operation (i.e. Shop traveler sign off and first PC, inspection record sheet)
- Use shop math to assist in all aspects of the job.
- Maintain machine maintenance and log.
- Inspection of work with minimal assistance
Requirements:
- 5+ years machining experience
- Ability to interpret blueprints and operation sheets
- Able to understand programs on CNC machines
- Knowledge of typical inspection equipment and techniques
- Good understanding of shop math. Ability to use trigonometry on blueprints and operation sheets.
- Basic understanding of geometric tolerances

OVERVIEW:
By using prints and models, program requested parts using the latest Mastercam software producing CNC code to fabricate a variety of parts in a non-production environment. The CNC programmer is responsible to work in a safe manner eliminating waste and delivering a quality product on time. The CNC programmer must be able work well with others. The CNC programmer must also perform tasks within customers' standards of quality.
JOB DUTIES:
Essential duties:
1. Perform work as assigned utilizing and creating route sheets.
2. Program using latest Mastercam software for both horizontal and vertical CNC milling centers.
3. Design and detail typical CNC and manual machining fixtures using latest AutoDesk Inventor software.
4. Read and use blue prints.
5. Assist other machinists in decreasing cycle-times and increasing tool-life.
6. Keep own and adjacent work area clean.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years experience Mastercam programming and 18 months min experience as a CNC machinist.
3. Must understand basic G-code.
4. Read, write and understand the English language.
5. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
6. AutoDesk inventor experience a plus.
7. AutoCAD experience a plus.
